Ms. Janjua's KG Art Class

January 6 - 15, 2016 | Issue 06

Salaamu Alaykum!

The past two weeks our KG students have been learning about our new unit of inquiry, "How We Organize Ourselves" in art class. We've been experimenting all sorts of "action painting," such as rolling around paint-dipped marbles on top of a piece of paper in a pan, using cotton balls dipped in paint to make strokes and splats with, and scribbling with glue on a colored sheet of paper and coloring over it with chalk pastels once dried. We are exploring how different artists organize their movements to create unique and beautiful works of art. Also, we've been continuing to develop our fine-motor skills which are so important to have as artists, and we reviewed our knowledge of different types of lines by creating three-dimensional interpretations. Enjoy the photos from our creative journeys below. Thank you! :)

Wa Salaamu Alaykum,

Ms. Janjua
