Connecting Purpose, Pleasure and Passion
On page 32 of your book is the Healthy habits inventory. This is an opportunity to evaluate moving time versus sitting time, and some great goals can come out of what you find. If the scale is tipped heavily in sitting time, can you add activity bursts to your workday and take a break every hour or so? Get creative and pray about where you can add moving time into your life if you have very full and long days. Our God hears these prayers and can give us a strategy, let's not forget that the hairs on your head are counted!
On Monday Dr. Beatrice Kangah will present us with the topic of Joy and she has a message that you won't want to miss. Finally, on March 16 is a healthy potluck and physician panel where you will be able to ask the Doctors questions. This is a great opportunity to learn some fun ideas for healthy dishes as well. We encourage you to bring a friend to any of these evenings, as each class is informative and filled with fresh information.
Buffalo Cauliflower
I made this recipe instead of chicken wings at this year's Super Bowl party and got great responses.
1 head of cauliflower
drizzle 2 Tbsp of olive oil and rub on top and bottom of cauliflower
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes
Remove from oven, let cool, chop cauliflower and add to sauce pan with 1 cup of Franks Red Hot (amount varies depending on size of cauliflower). Serve immediately.
