Staff Appreciation Week

Thank you to the families, students and staff who made Staff Appreciation Week a success! In addition to recognition efforts at our schools, more than 3,000 personalized Thank You e-cards were sent to staff members across the District. See below for a few examples of the kind messages staff received last week.

Bus registration

Bus registration

If your child is entering kindergarten through 12th grade next year and will be a bus rider, you should have received an email about busing for the 2023-24 school year. Please read the email(s) carefully, as you will receive a personalized email for each student in your family with specific instructions. Detailed instructions for registration are also available at mvpschools.org/transportation.


If you did not receive an email or have any questions, contact the Transportation Department at 651-621-6027 or transportation@mvpschools.org.


Students receiving special education services or those enrolled in Early Childhood programs will receive busing information at a later date.

Request for refund of lunch money

Request for refund of lunch money

If your student is graduating or leaving the District next year and has a positive lunch account balance, please fill out this form by June 16, 2023.

  • Please indicate on the form if you would like the funds transferred to a sibling or donated to the Angel Fund.

  • If your student’s balance is less than $5, please call 651-621-6025 to pick it up at the District Center (4570 Victoria Street N, Shoreview).

  • If you have any questions, please contact Nutrition Services at nutritionservices@mvpschools.org or 651-621-6025.

Free summer meals for students

Thanks to a federal program, free lunch meals for all students 18 years and under will be available at Edgewood Middle School from July 10 through August 3, Mondays through Thursdays from 12-12:30 p.m. Meals need to be consumed on-site.

Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. While it's important to focus on our mental health all year, MHAM provides us with a reminder to stop and reflect on our mental health and make changes to become healthier. As we continue to destigmatize outdated ideas around mental illness and addiction, we are encouraged to prioritize our mental health, talk openly about mental health and addiction struggles, educate ourselves about signs and symptoms of mental illness and participate in care.

Did you know?

The District is awarding 140 Equity Promise scholarships to ALC, Irondale and Mounds View High School students this spring totaling more than $160,000. Irondale and Mounds View students are receiving their awards at ceremonies throughout this month, while ALC students will receive them at commencement.
