Message from Mrs. Morgan:
This week is Read Across America week! The literacy team partnered with PTO on ideas for the week. Please look at flyer below. It also went home in Thursday folders. Students have the opportunity to put their names in a box outside the Media Center for a daily book drawing. Each morning students stop by the table outside the media center and they write their favorite book, name, and tell the students working the table why it's their favorite book.
March 6th-10th is Exceptional Children's Week. We will also be having daily activities and dress up days to celebrate! Flyer is below.
Finally, we raised over $20,000 during the Boosterthon Fundraiser. The first project in the works is an outdoor classroom by the Jag Ag Center. Picnic tables and shades will be purchased with the Boosterthon Funds. Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser!

Crosswalk in front of the school
**Check for the flashing lights and be sure you're not speeding so you may stop if a pedestrian needs to cross.
1. Georgia law requires drivers to stop and yield to people walking in crosswalks.
2. Drivers have to stop and stay stopped until the pedestrian has left their side of the road.

Estimados padres y guardianes,

Kindness Month
The Kindness chain is looking great! Students continue to write acts of kindness. Our goal was that each student would turn in at least 4 so that the chain would really grow.

Our February Attendance challenge is almost over! 5th grade was the winner of the January attendance challenge. As we come to the end of the year, the weather is getting nicer, and sometimes, the students get a little bit antsy to be out of school for the summer. Help us finish our year strong with our behavior by encouraging your student to be Respectful, Organized, Accepting, and Responsible in 4th quarter!
