Adults may purchase a lunch for $3.50.
Oh The Places You'll Go...This Summer!
Directions: Send us a postcard from the states that you visit! We will mark it on the map and out your postcard up. At the beginning of the year we can all see the places that everyone visited during the summer! Not going anywhere out of state? Send a postcard from a Kentucky adventure or a picture with a description on the back and where the picture was taken. We will mark you on the map and display your picture!
Information that we will need: Please put the name of your student(s); where you went if it is not on the postcard or picture.

”Unleash Your Imagination”
“Arts-Alive Painting and Drawing Camp”
Hosted by Mrs. Paula Kingsolver, Artist and Art Teacher at Wright Elementary
Wright Elementary
June 12th – 16th AND/OR June 19th – 23rd
Students are invited to attend one or both weeks.
9:00 – 11:30 a.m. for rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders
1:00 – 2:30 p.m. for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders
Parents will drop off and pick up students at the front door.
June 23rd Field Trip to the Speed Art Museum
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
A permission slip will be sent home.
Students will sketch and draw local landscapes and portraits. We’ll focus on landscape, portraits, and still life, using a variety of tools and techniques. Morning and Afternoon campers will travel together to the Speed Art Museum on Friday, June 23rd.

”Culinary Camp”
Hosted by Ms. Erica Roberts, Culinary Teacher of the award-winning Culinary Arts Program at Martha Layne Collins High School!!
Meet local chefs and visit local restaurants to learn the secrets of how fabulous food can be prepared. Come with us as we travel out to a local farm to pick and prepare our own farm-to-table feast. Students get to eat their fresh and delicious culinary creations!

June 5th – 8th 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. AND June 9th 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
for rising 4th – 8th graders

Don’t waste your summer playing video games, get out and explore all that Kentucky has to offer! Prepare for the summer of a lifetime experiencing the many beautiful state parks Kentucky has to offer. You’ll spend your summer living out adventures and build everlasting friendships along the way. Join Ms. Burroughs and Mrs. Ellis, Shelby County Teachers, on a series of day time field trips to visit our majestic state parks.
June 1st Painted Stone Elementary
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Parents can pick up and drop off at the front door.
Students learn about the state parks and the activities each park provides.
A permission slip will be sent home with students.
June 2nd General Butler State Park
Students will enjoy hiking and Geocaching!!
Depart Painted Stone Elementary at 8:00 a.m. and return at 2:00 p.m.
**Students need to bring a sack lunch.
(no more than 20 students)
June 13th Blue Licks Battlefield
Students will enjoy Archery, Live Reptile Show, View a Tomahawk Throwing Show, and a Museum Tour!!
Depart Painted Stone Elementary at 8:00 a.m. and return at 3:00 p.m.
**Students need to bring a sack lunch.
(no more than 20 students)
June 14th Big Bone Lick State Park
Students will enjoy a Creek Fossil Hunt, attend an Atlati Throwing Show, Live Vison Tour, Salt Springs Tour, and a Museum Tour!!
Depart Painted Stone Elementary at 8:00 a.m. and return at 3:00 p.m.
**Students need to bring a change of shoes and clothes (from the Creek Fossil Hunt) and a sack lunch.
(no more than 20 students)
**Students may sign up to attend one or two or all three parks.
