How They Are Formed

sapphires are the second hardest mineral. They formed be the immense pressure in volcanos deep in the earth and the cooling of magma.

What There Used For

Sapphires are used for a number of things not just jewellery, they are used in camera lenses so they don't scratch, lasers, cutting edges, electronics, they are scratch resistant and are also used in the space for capturing solar wind and as particle catchers. There not just a pretty object, there are lots of different thing they are used for not just the ones above.
