TUNNEL OF HOPE!!!!
Last year, our students made signs and posters that went with our kids at hope pledge... and some shared on headbands and signs what their dreams are for the future. Just some thoughts!
Grade levels had chants and class slogans... it was a blast!
If you've never done a tunnel... it's an incredible experience seeing the outpouring of love from the community towards our kiddos!
We will be doing a FAM-UNITY coffee talk prior in the Media Center from 8:15-9:00 am.
Please help spread the word on facebook and social media!

IPDP Information
Our formative conferences are in the near future. For those of you who like to plan ahead, here is what IPDP's will look like this year.
We have decided that we would like to follow the best practice of some of the other elementary schools and make one school-wide goal and one goal that you can select individually.
Based on last years walkthroughs, an area that showed the greatest need for improvement school-wide was accountable talk. One way to incorporate this is through deliberately focusing on how we MANAGE RESPONSE RATES (Element 26 in Marzano) in our classrooms. This will be our entire school's deliberate focus.
Here is a quick video from Pasco County that really explains what managing response rates looks like:

Element 26: Managing Response Rates
In this video, Element 26 of the Marzano Framework is covered. Examples of devices, techniques and applications are provided including website url resources
Here are some of the professional development opportunities that have already been offered that you can put in your IPDP:
Kagan training
Eric Jensen Power Strategies Training
PBiS training
The Poor Students, Rich Teaching book study that will continue throughout the year during Faculty Meetings
Your individually selected focus area from MARZANO can be based on an area you feel you would like additional feedback and professional development, so you can have a laser-like focus to improve in this area.
This will all help us stay aligned to our SIP for 2017-2018-
Increase Student Achievement by Improving Instruction
