Helen's Childhood
Helen was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Her father's name was Arthur and her mother's name was Kate. Before she turned 2, she became very sick. She had a high fever and many people thought she would die. But the fever broke and she was okay! However, the rest of her body was not okay. The sickness had made her blind and deaf. After that, Helen had some troubles and she often got frustrated.
