Counselor Corner
This week counselors joined students in their science classes and led a lesson on navigating changes both expected like transitioning grades or schools and the unexpected changes that life springs on us.
ATTENTION 8th grade families:Registration for LEAP into 9th grade is open. Connect with the 8th grade counselor if you would like to register your student.
Leap into 9th Grade will prepare students to excel in high school and get a head start in working with their new teachers and peers in the summer. The curriculum includes growth mindset, math concepts, career exploration, and high school readiness skills. Students will earn a 0.5 high school elective credit upon successful completion of the program.

SOCIAL MEDIA - Incidents
We have seen an increase in incidents that stem from social media interactions whether they happen after school hours or during. This is part of our new reality and if any disagreements or conflict spills into the school day and is disruptive, we do work with kids and families.
Recently we have had incidents where students share their login information for whatever reason. As you can imagine, this is not the best thing to do.
Please make sure to review expectations around social media accounts and online activity. In a world of screenshots, group chats and more, this form of communication has become more complicated.
SUN
Spring SUN classes will run April 11-May 19th.
SUN class selection sheets will be available to students through their homerooms and in the main office beginning on Friday March 10th.
