Last Day to Order This Year's Yearbook is May 8--Orders Must Be Place Online
All yearbooks will be mailed home directly by the yearbook company. Yearbooks MUST be ordered online. This is a change from our regular practice—in typical years, we order extra yearbooks that we sell in the building at the end of the school year. We cannot do this this time. Therefore, we are extending online ordering to Friday, May 8. To order a yearbook, click here. If you need to check to see if you placed a yearbook order, please email Kristen Gerth at kgerth@cbsd.org. We want to make sure that every student who would like a yearbook, regardless of financial situation, gets a yearbook. If your child would like a yearbook and you are experiencing a financial difficulty at this time, please email one of the following staff members and we will make sure a yearbook is sent to your home: Brian Caughie, Kyle Dudley, Jeff Klein, Mandy Cammann, Lauren Myrtetus.
Spanish Students Participate in Getty Museum Challenge
Spanish students were challenged to recreate artwork by Hispanic artists using items around the house. This challenge was inspired by the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, where they are challenging people to do the same while in quarantine. People all over the world are sharing their version of the artwork using #gettymuseumchallenge. Definitely check it out! The creativity of the Tamanend students is absolutely incredible!
Reminder--Parent/Student Infinite Campus Portal is Open
Parent Portal and Student Portals in Infinite Campus went live this week. Students are aware of the work they have been completing and submitting and they are receiving feedback and grades
directly from teachers throughout this process. The opening of the portals allows both students and parents to have access to in-progress gradebooks. We recommend that students and parents review the grading section of Infinite Campus on a weekly basis. If any inaccuracies are identified, please reach out to your child's teacher and/or guidance counselor in order to rectify the problem. Information regarding CB Distance Learning grading was previously shared and can be found here: Secondary Grading
Attention, Art Club Members!
Art Club members please keep an eye on Ms. Schollenberger's and Mrs. Pirolli’s teacher websites. They will be sharing some additional opportunities to be creative during this time, and to share your artwork! All of the activities are posted on their teacher websites so even if you are not an art club member you can still participate! Send any work that you complete to Ms. Schollenberger and Mrs. Pirolli at sschollenberger@cbsd.org and mtpirolli@cbsd.org so that they can share it with the Tamanend community!

NJHS Students Continue to Spread Positivity
Tamanend National Junior Honor Society members are continuing to lead even though we can’t be together. NJHS members are spreading positivity in various ways throughout our community.
This student made a series of activity and exercise chalk drawings for her neighborhood. We’d love to see all Tamanend students spread positivity! We know TMS students have a lot of good vibes to share! If you do something to spread positivity, let us know! Take a picture or video and email it Señora Mars (mmars@cbsd.org) or Señora Murray (emurray@cbsd.org).
FROM OUR GUIDANCE OFFICE
Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Reminder--Help is Down the Hall
The Tamanend Student Assistance Program (SAP) Team is a group of trained faculty members who can connect students with appropriate help and resources if they show signs of struggling with mental health concerns or alcohol/substance use. If you notice concerns such as major changes in behavior or mood, drop in achievement, or use of drugs or alcohol, then you may consider a SAP referral. When the team receives a referral, we gather more information to determine if there is a need for intervention and further assessment. The information is confidential, and the process is for the purpose of offering help. Anyone can refer a student about whom they are concerned. Referrals can be made at this referral link or by contacting a SAP team member:
Mrs. Barlow, Mrs. Cammann, Sra. Corsino, Mr. Dudley, Mr. Heisey,
Mr. Klein, Mrs. Myrtetus, Ms. Scheffey, & Mrs. Szagola

Central Bucks School District is closely monitoring the CDC’s recommendations as well as those from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Bucks County Health Department. You may review the latest recommendations from the CDC on their website at www.cdc.gov. At this time, the best advice is to practice the same common-sense preventative measures that are recommended every cold and flu season, including proper hand washing and staying home when sick.

Distance Learning Technical Support
Logging in to Laptops: Students will use their FULL CB email address: (lastname.firstinitial###@student.cbsd.org) & password to log into the laptop. Your classroom teacher can help you with the log-in information. You can also email our support team.
Updating Devices: To allow your computer to be completely up to date after the handout, CBSD will be sending updates to the computers that could cause a random restart. Please make sure to have autosave turned on by creating new documents through Office 365 on the web so you do not lose work.
- Device Having Issues: Restarting your computer will solve many computer issues. Please restart twice before reaching out for tech support. Click here to submit a Help Ticket.
Broken Hardware: We will attempt to have frequent drive through hardware support for our staff and students. In the event that device peripherals (pens, chargers, batteries, etc.) stop working or need replacement, families and staff do not need to purchase them through MyPaymentsPlus at this time. Are You Interested in Volunteering at Tamanend?
Volunteer Required Paperwork
Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. If you are planning on being in a Central Bucks school during the 2018-2019 school year for any reason, you will need to go to Volunteer Required Paperwork, and complete what is needed to obtain your Photo Volunteer ID Card. You will need that ID Card and a photo ID to enter a CB school.
