SEEKING SECRET SANTAS!
SUBMISSION OF PHOTOS FOR THE SCHOOL YEARBOOK!
This year, we are all photographers for the school yearbook! Each week, the yearbook staff will be asking for photos to help us capture the moments going on in the lives of our students and staff during the 20-21 school year.
Parents and/or students can submit photos. There are two ways to submit photos:
- Through the website: http://www.hjEshare.com .
- By downloading the app HJeShare
The code to submit photos is Somers. Unless specified, please submit all photos to the General Photos section. Submitting a photo does not guarantee that your photo will be included in the yearbook.
This week, the yearbook staff would like photos of what you have been doing while at home the past few months. Did you pick up a new hobby? Did you learn how to cook? Have you read through all the books in your house? Are you caught up on your Netflix shows? Take a photo that shows us what you’ve been doing or what you are proud of. We can’t wait to see what our Seahawks have been up to!
Reminder with having cameras turned on!
Since we are well into the second quarter, schools will not be as lenient with enforcing the attendance policy to students who fail to have their cameras turned on during instruction.
This is a reminder that it is CCPS policy (in order to verify attendance) for students who have a working camera for it to be turned on for the entire duration of the class period. Students who do NOT have a working camera must do the following in order to be marked present for class:
1. Inform your teacher that your camera is not working.
2. Make sure you participate in the lesson via the chat room or "unmuting yourself" to answer questions or share responses.
3. Actively participate in other platforms (ie. NearPod, Discovery Education, etc.)
If a student, without a working camera, fails to participate in other ways to truly indicate he/she is present, the teacher will mark the student absent.
Thank you, in advance, for reviewing this CCPS policy with your child.
Yes SeaHawks – Curbside library pickup is here! If you have been missing the library and are looking for something new to read, then check out this video on how to place a title on hold for pick up.
Parents, curbside library pick-up will be every other Tuesday, beginning December 8 between 12 and 1 p.m. Students will be allowed to check out up to 3 books if they have a clear library account. Student book selections will be bagged and labeled. When you arrive, let me know the student’s name, and the bag will be placed on a table for you to pick-up so that we are all safe. A contactless book return box will be available for returned materials. All returned materials will be quarantined per district guidelines. Please note that other pick-up times may be arranged by contacting me at hhartman-jansen@ccboe.com.
