Morning Traffic Flow
Thank you for keeping the carpool line moving! Although it is very tempting to try to drop a student off directly in front of the breakfast doors or directly in front of the school, it helps us so very much if you will pull all the way up in the carpool line before dropping off your student(s). This way, we can get more cars into the line and dropping off students quickly. Students are able to walk to their destination within a few moments.
Thank you for helping us to keep traffic moving in the morning!

Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBiS) at Hillside
February Highlight:
Good Behavior Games in the Classroom
Teachers have a variety of games they can play with their entire class to encourage and reward good behavior class-wide. Some teachers might reward the entire group periodically with letters that eventually spell out something like, "RECESS." That class, when they are able to earn all the letters that spell RECESS will earn an additional 10-15 minute recess for themselves. Kids love to play good behavior games, and these friendly competitions are motivating to most kids.
PBiS Skill of the Week
- Look at the person
- Use a calm voice
- Ask, "May I..." and what you'd like to do
- Accept the response calmly
Our school works on different skills weekly; students can practice this every day!
