Cougar Connection
February 5, 2021
Hello Cougars,
Selection of Learning Model: As we prepare for the return to in-person learning, we are asking families once again to select which learning option you prefer. After last night's board meeting, the start date for return to school for K-6 is Feb. 16th. Please take a moment before Feb. 7th, (this Sunday) to indicate your selection for in-person learning or PV Connect. Is very important that we have as many replies as possible for bussing and lunch counts to name a few. I wanted to wait to send this information until after the board meeting last night so the information is accurate.

Student and Family Support
This season has brought about many challenges to families and students, and we want to support you during these times. If your student or your family could use a helping hand, we are here for you. Please contact our school social worker, Sharon Denny (shdenny@pvlearners.net) and she will be happy to connect with you. Let us know- we are all in this together!
Have a happy heart...
February was proclaimed American Heart Month by President Lyndon. B. Johnson in 1964.
There have been challenges maintaining a healthy lifestyle during the pandemic, but it remains essential to beat the number one cause of death in the U.S. and worldwide according to the American Heart Association's Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics -2021 Update.
Heart disease is largely preventable by not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, getting 150 minutes/week of moderate activity together with seeking treatment and controlling high blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar.
Enjoy a little bit of chocolate and remember to love yourself first.
