Free Bike Repair- May 23rd
Culver City Walk & Rollers is proud to announce our first ever FREE Community Bike Repair Day. This free service is intended to get you and your family's bikes rolling safely just in time for Summer.
Wrap up Bike Month by letting our team of technicians work on your bike in a safe, COVID-friendly environment. Parents are asked to register in advance for one of two drop off times. Then on May 23, you will drop off your bikes (limit two per family) and return in the afternoon. Our team will repair or replace as much as possible. Upon pickup, you will be presented with a list of what work was performed and what was not (if anything).
What will be done? Tires, inner tubes, brakes, drivetrain and gearing will all be checked adjusted, repaired or replaced as necessary (due to some limitations, we may not be able to repair all bikes or replace all parts). Your bike will then be washed and ready for pickup at your appointed time.
Note, participants will be asked to remain in their cars (unless required to assist in unloading/loading) and wear masks at all times while on site.

California Student Mental Health Week (May 10-14, 2021)
May is National Mental Health Awareness Month
Children and youth mental health issues are real, widespread, and treatable. Latest studies indicate that one in five students have mental health issues and adverse childhood experiences have been shown to have lasting harmful impacts if not addressed. This month we shine a spotlight on the importance of mental health and wellness for people and highlight this issue, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when children and adolescents face increasing challenges to their social, emotional, and mental well-being.
California Student Mental Health Week (May 10-14, 2021)
During this week we take the time to acknowledge the importance of children's mental health, show that positive mental health is essential to a child's healthy development from birth, and promote positive youth development, resiliency, and recovery. We also aim to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to empower students to speak up when they need help.
This week our students are able to take part in an optional Spirit Week focusing on the exploration and development of coping skills and strategies.
