Homecoming is Two Weeks Away

Homecoming is always a special time as alumni and friends gather and reminisce about their years at and memories of Mars Hill. This year's Homecoming will take place Saturday, December 20. The court will be presented at 5 p.m. followed by varsity games against Deshler. Make plans to be here!

Holiday Lunch

The annual Holiday Lunch will be Thursday, December 11th. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will go on sale Monday December 1st and be available through Monday December 8th. You may purchase your tickets in the Elementary office or the Cafeteria.The price for a Visitor ticket will be $7.00. Please note that the cutoff date to purchase tickets is Monday, December 8th.

The menu for the Holiday Meal will include chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and roll.

Mizpahs Now on Sale! Order Early for Best Deal!

The 68th edition of the Mizpah is now on sale. You may order on the school's website or complete a form available at MHBS. In order to get the best price on the 2014-15 yearbook, you should place your order before December 20.


Prices until December 19: $65

December 20-February 26: $70

February 27-April 30: $75

After May 1: $80

15 MH Students Make All-State Chorus

All-State Chorus members were recently named, and MH had a school record of fifteen students invited to participate in the choral festival in the spring. Congratulations to Lucas Anderson, Gracie Barrier, Tanner Bradley, Ellen Davenport, Liliana Derr, Camille Erwin, Sidney Harmon, Rebecca Hennigan, Emma Heupel, Claire Lawson, Jackson Mitchell, Elizabeth Presley, Will Roberson, Ben South, and Macy Wallace. We're proud of you!

National Honor Society Inducts New Members

Eleven students became the newest members of the National Honor Society at an induction ceremony Tuesday. Congratulations to Hailey Chastain, Abbie Hargett, Carrie Holt, Riley Killen, Kayley O'Kelley, Noah Phillips, Shelby Patterson, Rachel Richmond, Bradley Thigpen, Rhett Thigpen, and Justin Tingle.


NHS officers for 2014-15 are Hannah Foust (President), Coleman Burch (Vice President), Lydia Powers (Secretary), and Arden Rose (Treasurer).
