Eagle Rock Middle School Parent Newsletter
Week of September 26th, 2022
Message from the Principal:
Hello Eagle Rock Family,
We are quickly approaching the midway point of our first trimester. Next week on Wednesday, October 5th we will only have 6 more weeks left. Please take a moment to check in with your student and see how they are doing with their assignment and assessment completion for their classes. One of our school goals this year was to have better communication with families and we ask that you please communicate with and questions you might have about your student's progress.
There are a lot of exciting things happening at Eagle Rock right now. We are in the last week of our Volleyball and Cross Country seasons. The volleyball teams are playing their last 3 games this week and will then participate in their conference tournament on Saturday in Rigby. Cross Country will participate in the conference meet on Thursday for our top 10 finishers, and then the Snake River Invitational for the rest of the team later that day. We also have our "Newsies Jr." play in full swing with practices going and looking forward to performances the first week of November.
We look forward to enjoying a beautiful fall season with your students and our hope is that as the weather starts to change that everyone will be able to stay healthy and take care of themselves.
Thanks for making Eagle Rock a great place!
Ethan Wilford, M.Ed.

Bond Information
Open Houses: The district has scheduled 4 Community Open Houses about the bond. The meetings are on Oct. 4 at the IF Activity Center on Skyline Drive, Oct. 11 at IFHS, Oct. 18 at Skyline and Oct. 19 at Sunnyside.
Tax Calculator: The district has created a “Tax Calculator” to help parents/patrons see how the bond will impact them. A link is posted on the D91Bond Information page. (https://id50010859.schoolwires.net/Page/1670) The bond is estimated to cost $233 per $100,000 of taxable property value. But, remember, the district is paying off its 2012 bonds early so the $133 that taxpayers are currently paying will drop off tax notices before the new bond appears on tax notices.
