Congratulations to Mrs. Dysart and her family on their newest addition! Mrs. Carter will be our long term substitute in the nurse's office while Mrs. Dysart is on maternity leave.
We are great CATS!
Do you have a Weatherbee Bobcat that deserves to be celebrated? Let us know! We would love to feature our students in our weekly newsletter being outstanding in the community!
Gavin Adams, Lego Master
Fourth grader Gavin Adams showcased his LEGO skills on WABI TV 5 this week! Gavin's love for LEGOS started when he was only a few years old and has grown ever since! Way to represent Weatherbee, Gavin! We are so proud of you!

Congratulations, Emma!
Writing Celebrations
Mrs. Adams' Authors
Mrs. Stoyanova's 8th grade students came to visit Mrs. Adams' 3rd graders so WB students could share their research projects. It was wonderful to see our former Bobcats mentor our students.
Fourth Grade Natural Disasters Showcase
Fourth grade writers have been researching natural disasters and dangerous weather as part of their nonfiction unit. This week, they celebrated their research by presenting to our third graders. Quinn Worster said, " I loved the slide show and learning about tornadoes. Taking notes and putting them together on the slide show was really hard. I am really proud of my work. Last year I didn't know anything about the slides and this year I'm good. I love writing and this was fun!" Congratulations to all of our fourth graders on their hard work.
Grade 3 Writing Share
Third Grade Writers were so excited to share all their hard work with their biggest fans! We had a wonderful crowd to celebrate our students. Thank you to all who joined in the celebration.

The Teacher of the Year Journey starts with your nomination at mainetoy.org/nominate.
Nominations are now open for the 2023 County Teachers of the Year and 2024 State Teacher of the Year. Members of the public are encouraged to nominate educators who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and who inspire the achievement of all students.
“Maine's Teacher of the Year Program is unique,” said Maine Education Commissioner Pender Makin. “In addition to much-deserved recognition of the incredible educators in Maine classrooms, it is also a year-long journey that gives educators from each county in Maine a platform to share their passions and knowledge. This program is a growing network of dedicated and caring education colleagues from across our State and nation, so please take a few minutes and nominate someone today.”
Nominations can be made through a nomination form on the Maine Teacher of the Year Website now through 5:00 pm on Feb. 5, 2023. Nominations will be accepted from students, parents, caregivers, community members, school administrators, colleagues, college faculty members, and associations/organizations (self-nominations, and nominations from family members are not accepted).
