Adult & Community Education
Tuesday in the Know - January 16, 2018
Welcome Back!
What better way to kick start a new semester than with marching in the Naples annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. It was a time to celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Our students, along with one of our instructors, Khris Betten-Jutasi had the opportunity to march in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. Not only were they learning about Martin Luther King Jr. and the impact that he had on the civil rights movement, but also shared in the role we all have in moving his dream forward. It was meaningful for all students and will always remember marching in the parade and interacting with the community.
As you start your classes this week, engage your students with what dreams they have as they improve on their English or work towards their GED. Have them expand on what barriers they foresee and what they may need to do to persevere.
"Whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward!" by Martin Luther King. Jr.
