Study Skills
Understanding what you learn in school is hard enough as it is, but you also have to remember that information for tests and exams. Here are a few ways to efficiently and effectively improve your memory.
Pay Attention
Find a place to study where you have no distractions, and can be alone and productive. Also, don't do it all at one time. Schedule separate sessions for studying.
Organize Info
In your brain, information is "chunked" together, so by already grouping different concepts together, you are making it easier to remember.
Elaborate and Rehearse
To use the technique elaborative rehearsal, you repeat something, and then add more information, making it easier to remember after doing that multiple times.
Visualization
You could benefit from paying attention to or creating images.
Make Connections
If you connect new information to things you already know, you will be much more likely to be able to recall the new information.
Mix It Up
By changing your regular routine, you can add an element of novelty to it, increasing your ability to recall the information you learned.
