Remote Device Pick Up Day!
This will be the day for current remote students to pick up their new ACS iPad. To receive your new iPad, there are two steps that must be completed:
1) Fill out and submit the online Parent/Student Device Power Up Agreement
2) Pay for the device online (bring a copy or screenshot of your receipt)
Agreement and payment details can be found at this link https://www.acs-k12.org/Domain/2259
If students have an older ACS MacBook or iPad, they MUST turn in that device and get one of the new ACS iPads. Please bring the old device and charger with you on February 2nd.
If students have their own personal device (non-ACS) that they would like to continue using, that is fine.
If this day and time do not work, please contact Leslie Batts (leslie.batts@acs-k12.org) to arrange another time for pick up.
Returning Remote Students or New Students to AMS
1) Complete the Parent/Student Device Power Up Agreement form
2) Pay for the device online (bring a copy of your receipt) or bring check/cash to Mrs. Batts in the library
All details can be found at this link https://www.acs-k12.org/Domain/2259
If they received an older ACS MacBook or iPad at any point, please return the device and charger upon return to school.
ACS Device Update for all Students
iPad Chargers:
The Device Protection Plan does not cover the charging cable and charting adapter. Students are responsible for replacing these items if they are lost, stolen or damaged. The replacement must be an identical manufacturer product.

From the Nurse
If your child is:
1. Exposed to COVID
2. Tested for COVID
3. Positive for COVID
Also, don't forget to bring your reusable water bottle to school to stay hydrated. There are filling stations around the building that students can access. Due to COVID, water fountains are currently turned off, so bringing your own reusable bottle is the smartest way to stay hydrated and healthy!

Important Athletic Ticket Information
*This will be the only option for purchasing tickets for an AMS athletic event.*
The new ticketing policy allows AMS to operate a more efficient and professional ticket gate, while creating an enhanced fan experience. Purchasing tickets online allows fans to easily access and share tickets (email or text) without standing in line.
A new ticket gate setup will help promote social distancing while limiting person - to - person contact and the physical exchange of cash.
Fans can download the GoFan app through either an Android or Apple device.
Instructions on how to use gofan.co :
1) Go to the website gofan.co and create an account (click sign in at top right to create an account)
2) Search for Athens Middle School
3) Select Get Tickets for the event you are wanting to attend
4) Select the number of General Admission Tickets you want to purchase
5) Purchase the tickets - The Athens Middle School home game ticket price will show $5 and then a $1 convenience fee will be added to create a total price of $6.
** When you get to the gate, please have your ticket pulled up on your smartphone so the gate worker can easily click redeem.**
AMS Athletic Spectator Expectations
In order to remain at an athletic event, you must follow these rules, as ordered by Governor Kay Ivey’s July 29, 2020 Proclamation in agreement with the home school administration. Failure to follow the rules, will result in you being asked to leave.
1. NO SYMPTOMS. If you’re running a fever or have any COVID-19 symptoms, we appreciate your support, but STAY HOME and GET WELL SOON!
2. WEAR A MASK. All spectators must wear a mask/facial covering (unless one of the Governor’s exceptions applies).
3. SOCIAL DISTANCE. Remain at least 6 feet apart from anyone from a different household.
Additional Information:
● K-8 students must be with a parent/guardian to attend an athletic event. Parents should not leave children unattended during an athletic event.
● To help ensure the safety of our staff and visitors, all guests must pick up their own trash and dispose in the trash receptacles before leaving the event.
● Spectators will be allowed into any indoor athletic facility no more than 45 minutes prior to competition play with a ticket.
● Spectators will be allowed into any outdoor facility no more than 60 minutes prior to competition play with a ticket.
● Upon completion of the competition, fans and non-essential personnel will be required to exit the facility immediately or as safely as possible considering the size of crowds.
● During tournament play, visiting head coaches may remain in the facility to observe the other team competitions as long as social distancing and masks guidelines are followed.
