Dr. Boryszewski's Message

Dear School District 81 Learning Community,


Please join me in congratulating Dr. Kristin Kopta as she enters into the next phase of her career as Superintendent of Schools in a neighboring district. Dr. Kopta is an outstanding educator whose leadership has touched every facet of our district. Although I am sad to see Dr. Kopta leave District 81, I am proud that she has been able to achieve her professional goal of becoming a superintendent.


We will be conducting interviews in the next two weeks for the Washington School principal position.

SD81 Board of Education News

The Schiller Park District 81 Board of Education was honored on May 12th with an award of Excellence in Distinguished Service from the Illinois chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA).


The SD81 Board of Education was recognized as a crucial component of creating a 1:1 learning environment with iPads. The result of the Board of Education's involvement in the 1:1 learning initiative is that stakeholders came together to grow a shared mission and vision. All stakeholders are aware of why and how technology can transform learning, increase engagement, and positively impact student achievement.


The profound impact of the decisions they have made for the benefit of the students in District 81 make the District 81 Board of Education stellar examples of ambassadors to public education.


The SD81 Learning Community extends gratitude to the Board of Education for their constant direction, support and commitment.
