Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled at Killip Elementary School on August 9

Killip Elementary School is celebrating the opening of its brand-new building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, a day before school begins. The ceremony will take place at the school’s front entrance located at 2300 E. 6th Ave., and it will be followed by tours of the new building.

Sinagua Middle School Authorized as IB World School

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) designated Sinagua Middle School as an authorized IB World School for the Middle Years Programme on July 11, 2022, following the school’s multi-year application process for the rigorous program that empowers students in their academic journey.

Flagstaff Unified School District #1 was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) on July 28, 2022, by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).

Food Service Meal Program for the 2022-2023 School Year

As you are aware, schools have been able to offer breakfast and lunch at no charge to students during the 2021-2022 school year. This was made possible thanks to the generous support of the USDA reimbursing schools for meals served to students, regardless of income.
