A Note From Mrs. Waters
As we get closer to the end of the school year, 1st grade likes to do an ABC Countdown to add some excitement and fun activities to the end of the year. It's something we've done for the past two years and the students and teachers enjoy it each year. For the last 26 days of school, we will have a letter and corresponding theme/activity for the day. Hard copies of the calendar were sent home today. Please post it somewhere so students can participate in the fun countdown! There are a few special days where students dress up or bring in items. We are looking forward to this fun event that will begin on Monday, May 8.
On Sunday, May 14, we will be having a Writer's Cafe. We would like to invite you, moms and dads, to come and hear a poem written by your child. As this is American Mother's Day, there will be a special poem read for the mothers. This will take place in our classroom at 8:15-8:45am.
Next week your child will begin swimming for PE. Please see the attached letter from Mr. Van for more information.
