- Almost 50% of eating disorders are caused by depression
- Up to 25 million people of all ages suffer eating disorders
- Only 35% of men and women get help
Types of Eating Disorders
What is Anorexia? What is Bulimia?
Anorexia:
Is an eating disorder in which people starve themselves. They are not in the normal weight range for their age and height. They avoid food and meals.
Bulimia:
Is an eating disorder in which people are in the normal weight range for their height and age. It is usually caused by chemical imbalances in someones body. Usually when one forces themselves to vomit after meals.
