Lockport City School District
COVID-19 Update
September 17, 2021
Thank you to all LCSD families, students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the Board of Education for the incredible support and cooperation as we begin the new school year. School buildings, classrooms, and facilities look beautiful. It is wonderful to have students in school for five full days of instruction and it is thrilling to see extra-curricular activities and athletic events off to a LION STRONG start.
The district will send a COVID-19 notification message when it is informed of a positive case(s) of COVID-19 to parents and employees. In addition, anyone interested in tracking positive cases throughout the district may visit the link https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/. Again this year, school districts are required to report daily positive COVID-19 cases to the New York State School COVID-19 Report Card by 4 pm. The NYS School COVID-19 Report Card should be operating very soon.
Please be reminded to conduct daily health screenings on your children and yourself before coming to school or work. If anyone has a temperature reading of 100 degrees or higher or displays any other symptoms associated with an illness, the individual should stay home and a health care provider should be contacted.
Remember to wear a face covering, practice physical distancing, wash your hands frequently, and monitor your health regularly.
Stay safe and be well.
