Hung King's Fest

Hùng Kings Fest is one of the Vietnamese cultural events. This fest is show gratitude for the foundation of the Hung Kings, the first kings of the Vietnam. Another wonderful part of this fest is teaching Vietnamese stories and explaining traditional customs.
According to Vietnamese legend, Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ, the Great Mother and the Great Father of Vietnamese born a hundred eggs hatching into one hundred sons. When the sons grew up, Lạc Long Quân brought a half of them to the South, and Âu Cơ cared a half of them to settle in North Vietnam. The eldest one of them initiated Van Lang state and became King Hung the First , thus starting the historic period of Vietnamese nation.
