Concentrated
It has been nonstop in 5th Grade. Thursday and Friday we took our first SOL in Reading. On Friday, we had our juice boxes and bagels with cream cheese in the morning to help keep our stomachs from rumbling as we concentrated. Students were calm, quiet, and confident throughout.
This week, the Math SOL awaits us on Wednesday and Thursday morning. Please get plenty of sleep and study your composition books and test corrections. All will go well.
After a brief storm this afternoon, the sun popped out and will hopefully stick around a couple of days to get us recharged. It certainly is to our advantage, after all of the students' hard work, for them to get a little extra time outside.
We need help putting together our class baskets for Spring Fling: items and wrapping each basket up for auction. Please send us an email if you're willing to volunteer. The Spring Festival is this Saturday, from 10:00 to 2:00. All are welcome to come celebrate and mingle with the Pennington community.
5th Grade Celebration is just around the corner on June 3. The Ceremony begins at 1:30 and is followed by bowling at Bowl America until 5:30. It is not quite summer. 5th grade has lots of activities still to come . . . Rising 6th Grade Orientation, Field Day, Career Day, Young Author's Day, practicing with locks, and much more.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
