Our message today is all about gratitude and appreciation.
Thanks to the LIPTSA for planning and hosting a spooktacular Pumpkin Extravaganza and Dia de los Muertos celebration yesterday. It was fun to see so many students and their families carving pumpkins, eating poutine, making paper flowers and having an all-around grand time.
We also appreciate the LISD school board and our superintendent, Ed Murray, for recognizing us at Wednesday's board meeting. Evidently, October is National Principals Month! We both want you all to know that it is a great honor and privilege to work with the students, staff, board, and families of LISD. This work can be joyful, messy, thrilling, and complex, but it is always gratifying. We are so happy to be here on Lopez Island, and we are grateful for our partnership in this worthy work.
All our best,
Martha and Mary
