Silent Auction Items are Needed

Who has a vacation house that they would like to share? The Parent Party sponsored by the Foundation is coming up soon. Auction items are needed and committee members would love to talk to anyone who might consider donating an item or service. Think small business gift cards, performance tickets, a VIP Braves game experience or even a dreamy beach getaway. Please contact Becky Neece by email or (678) 570-5861 to donate or find out more information. The deadline is March 1.

Course Scheduling 101 Information Meeting

The class scheduling process for next year's 6th, 7th, and 8th graders is about to begin. Mrs. Bulluck, assistant principal, hosts this annual meeting on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria with critical information so that parents can be engaged in this process.

The Ridgeview Foundation Parent Party will be March 18 from 7-10 p.m. at Pontoon Brewing. Mingle with friends and teachers, meet new parents, nosh on bites, drink (unlimited) beer, play yard games, watch March Madness and bid in a silent auction! SGC Elections Are Coming Soon

Elections for School Governance Council (SGC) are soon. The candidate declaration period runs Feb. 2 to March 2. We will have openings for two parents and one teacher.

Now is a particularly exciting and important time to get involved with SGC. This year, the SGC engaged in powerful work on two new initiatives in committees. One focuses on enhancing the image of RCMS in our community. The other focuses on celebrating diversity at our school. These committees are unique to Ridgeview, and every member of our council works passionately on one of the committees in addition to regular duties overseen and performed by the SGC.

Learn more about the RCMS SGC here and declare your candidacy here.

Candy Grams for Sale: Feb. 6-8

Candy Grams are back by popular demand! Just in time for Valentine's Day, students may purchase a box of candy conversation hearts for $1 each (cash only) during lunch Feb. 6 through Thursday, Feb. 8 in the cafeteria. Our parent volunteers will deliver all Candy Grams to homeroom classes by Friday, Feb 9. Volunteer to help here.
