Panther Newsletter - FHS News
Volume 3 Edition 1 August 2019
Students welcomed back to school
Students learned about having a growth mindset, habits of success and how FHS will concentrate on a different habit of success weekly so that students can continue to grow. Students absorbed the positive excitement about the upcoming school year and forged ahead into their schedule of classes following FHS norms to achieve their goals.
Seniors LOVED Retreat
Senior Leadership Retreat
The students were amazed at how the retreat turned out. "I thought the senior retreat was an amazing experience. You could tell the class really came together and supported each other when doing activities like the rock wall and zip line, and obstacle courses in the woods. Even the new seniors were able to bond and we all got to know each other a little bit more. This retreat made the seniors realize our important roles in being leaders at school this year and how much we influence the underclass and are able to make a great year for everybody,' said Gracie Edelen.

Students Studying the 16 Habits of Success
Attachment is 1) having a strong bond with an adult who cares about me. (2) It is having an adult at school I know I can go to when I feel threatened or upset. (3) Attachment is being willing to take risks and stretch out of my comfort zone, knowing an adult at school will support and protect me even I struggle or fail, (4) It is openly sharing goals, fears, hopes, setbacks, and successes with an adult at school, (5) Attachment is valuing an adult's opinion of my behavior and performance.
Ask your student what they have learned about ATTACHMENT.
