Odd Girl Out by Rachel Simmons

Amanda Fitzgerald

Introduction

This book basically captures the attention of teenage girls, or just girls in particular. It captures their attention because a lot of girls can basically relate to the problems of the girls in the book. It also explains how when bullying takes place in school, and around the age of middle school into high school. Girls usually bully by using words to defend or hurt people, while boys use violence. This book is wrote by a parent trying to reach out and help young girls who are being bullied. It gives signs that teens are being bullied, with their body language and lack of communication. I think this book is a good read for anyone because it gives good tips to ignore the bullies, and look past the rumors.
