ELC April Newsletter

News and events from around the ELC at BMS.

Spring has sprung!

It seems that now, after the Easter holidays, spring has officially arrived here in Berlin. Although this means a great deal more sunshine, and blossoming leaves and flowers, it also means that the weather has become variable and inconsistent over the course of the day! Please be sure that your children are equipped with a variety of clothing options for their days here in the ELC - we want to be sure that all children will be able to enjoy some fresh air time, regardless of rain or shine. Additionally, it would be a good idea to begin thinking about adding a smear of sunblock to your morning routines.

ELC Parent Representatives Meeting

Tuesday, April 12th, 5pm

TBD - please ask at the reception on Tuesday

Please be sure to pass along your queries to your classroom parent representatives in advance so that we can have the time to address them.

PYP Info/Workshop

Friday, April 29th, 8:45-9:45am

For: Parents who are new to the IB Primary Years Programme (both in the ELC and Primary School).

With: Tim Stroh - the ELC/Primary School Curriculum Coordinator.

During this session, parents will explore what the PYP is, and to a greater extent how it differs from other current and past educational programs. Effective strategies in which children can be supported with their education at home will be discussed as well as strategies that are being used here at school.

The session will conclude with time for questions and answers.
