Student Spotlight

The Global Readiness Assembly on Friday proved to be a moving acknowledgement and embracement of our school community rich in diversity. Many thanks to all faculty and staff members for connecting with each student and family new to SRES. As many of us recognize, living in a new neighborhood, new city, new state, new country, and/or new continent provides the opportunity for personal growth and adaptation. Thank you for riding the wave with our ever-evolving and diverse school community. :)

2. Bright Idea

We are excited to announce that we will be converting all of the lights in the classrooms, hallways and offices from fluorescent to LED lights starting this Tuesday, October 18 after school, evening and on weekend days. In addition to making the learning environment more inviting and comfortable, SRES will reduce its electrical usage for lighting by approximately 65%. This reduced electrical usage, as well as a rebate program from IPL, will go a long way toward offsetting the cost of the project. We expect this project to be completed by Thanksgiving. Way to go GREEN, Dragons!
