The population in South Korea is 49,115,196. The language they speak is Korean.

Capital and Goverment

The capital is Seoul. Their government is Democratic.

Leaders

Their Head of Government is Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn. The Head of State is President Park Geun-hye.

Culture

The food can be spicy in South Korea. The main ingredients are rice and kimchi (pickled vegetables). It's served almost every day, they also like soup. Fishing is important to South Koreans because fish is a main source of food for them.


The most important parts of a persons life in South Korea are a baby's 100th day of living, a persons marriage, and someones 60th birthday. A holiday they celebrate is Lunar Day. During this holiday kids bow to adults, adults get money and gift, it falls around January or February, families also have meals too.


School is Monday through Friday. 8:30 am- 2 or 3 in the afternoon. They get a lot of homework at young ages, then they go study of cram still 10 or 11 pm where they learn English, Korean, math, Chinese, music, art, and science. I wouldn't want to go to school there because I would not last that long at school.

Sports

The kids in South Korea play different athletic games. The most popular games are soccer, basketball, baseball, and swimming.


Some MLB or KBO teams are Nexen, Lottie, Samsung, Doosan, and more. Nexen Kim Jae Hwan who plays for the Doosan has the the most home runs at 10. Nippert Dustin who also plays for the Doosan has the most strikeouts at 55. Doosan is the best team because looking at their stats they have the most wins and least losses.


They're are 10 NBA or KBL teams. some of the teams are Goyang, Anyang, Sonic Boom, KCC Egis, and more. KCC Egis is the best team because they have the most wins and 2nd lowest losses. They have won 35 games and lost 18. Goyang is 32-22, Anyang is 29-22, and Sonic Boom is 23-31.
