3.2 TASK: Environmental- Advocate for Air/Water

Importance

We only have one planet, we must work together to reduce air and water pollution. Air pollution builds up which can lead to health issues;
  • Eye irritation
  • Upper respiratory infections, like bronchitis or pneumonia
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Can aggravate allergy symptoms or asthma
  • Chronic respiratory diseases
  • Lung cancer
  • Heart disease
  • Brain damage
  • Lung growth in children

Water pollution can kill valuable resources. Water pollution has a big effect on the food chain. Humans can get diseases from eating food that has chemicals in it from the water pollution. Drinking water quality has gone significantly down, which can cause stomach aches and rashes. Excess nitrogen in drinking water sources can pose serious issues to infants.

Don't treat your planet like you treat your teachers

Teens, simple actions can have a big impact on your planet. The following examples are easy to implement into your daily routine, but will have an impact on your personal air and water pollution. EVERY SMALL ACTION COUNTS
