We have just published a new Staff Email Policy which can be found on our website. This identifies our expectations of staff using email as a form of communication. Please be aware that staff are only expected to respond to emails during working time, and in the interests of preserving a work-life balance they should not be expected to respond to emails on evenings or weekends.

Following a recent recruitment process, governors are delighted to have appointed Mrs Susan Lee to replace Mrs Pedley when she goes on maternity leave next month. Mrs Lee is an experienced teaching assistant and we are sure that she will be an asset to Willow class.

The police have requested that you please speak with your child about remembering the importance of fire safety outdoors, particularly following a period of dry weather. During the Easter holiday, a campfire in Hambleton spread and got out of hand causing £20,000 damage.

Ulleskelf JFC

Ulleskelf JFC under 8 (Sept 2022) are looking for new players to join our friendly club, whether you have kicked a ball before or not.


If your daughter will be in year 3 in September 2022, please get in touch.


Ulleskelf JFC play in the Selby Junior Football League with matches being played on a Saturday morning. The Girls will play in the mixed league, due to limited availability for girls only leagues.


Training will be arranged, best to suit all.

We are delighted to be able to have volunteers into schools again, and would welcome parents to help us. If you are able to give any time to us, either on an ad-hoc or regular basis, you will need to complete a DBS application. Please contact the office for more information.

School Lunches

Please see the new Summer 2022 Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 2 of lunches.


Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.


Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.


Each day there are 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.


Packed Lunches - if you are sending grapes in your child's packed lunch, can you please ensure that these are cut in half.
