Happy Mother's Day!!!/ ¡Feliz Día de las Madres!
Dear Buccaneer Parents, Staff, and Students,
Happy Mother's Day to all of our mother's out there. We send our thanks and our admiration to our staff and our student's mothers and caregivers. As a mother of two I know that being a mother is not an easy job. We have to juggle between taking care of our kids, work, home, and our spouses. However, I also know that being a mother is a beautiful calling and gift. I am very honored and humbled to be a mother. Besides my two boys I also have 600 plus students whom I consider my own when they are in our care. Being a mother is a big and beautiful responsibility. I know that as mothers we are always praying for our kids' well being, their health, we pray that they make good choices, that they make a difference in this world. What a beautiful gift. Congratulations and keep enjoying your day every day!
Thank you again for everything you do for our students!
Your principal,
Julissa Gracias
To our students: Grades are due this Wednesday
Students, please listen carefully . . .
First and foremost,
We hope you are doing well and are staying safe. We miss you dearly and we wish we could be together at our beautiful campus. However, we know our reality is different now than what we expected we would be living this time of year.
With that said, the word of the month is "Excellence". Let us finish strong! We are rooting for you. 7th graders, we want you to end on a high note and be ready for 8th grade. We know you can accomplish great things: you have already proven to be resilient and determined.
To our 8th graders: we want you to promote. We want to you finish your two year history at SOM with honor and pride. We know things have changed but what has not changed is the path you are forging for your future. This is a six year plan. You started your high school journey at SOM. For this reason, we want you to make the best out of what you have started. Make sure you are logging on to your classes, turning in assignments, learning as much as you can, and striving to be the best you can be! You are almost High Schoolers! We are your biggest cheerleaders!
Please do not give up!
As a reminder, grades are due this Wednesday and progress reports will be available in Infinite Campus. We are not mailing progress reports home. If you do not know how to access progress reports, you can visit our SOM webpage and we will have a guide for you to follow to access your grades.
Remember, this is the last progress report before final grades.
8th graders, your last day of school will be May 29th. This means that you will have less than two weeks to bring up your grades after this week.
Make these last weeks count!!! We know you can do it!!!
With a lot of admiration,
Your principal Mrs. Gracias
