Engaging in Three-Dimensional Tasks: What Should Assessment Tasks look like in the Science Classroom? Grades 6th-12th

This session will focus on what to look for equitable and high-quality assessment tasks for science. Teachers will review assessment tasks and practice looking for relevant and engaging phenomena and review tasks built by a network of TN teachers and Achieve consultants. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of what needs to be included in a high-quality assessment task.

This session will highlight the importance of teacher clarity and the new Social Studies standards to maximize student growth. Participants will engage with the content by discussing the relationship between standards, learning targets, and success criteria in the social studies classroom.

Lead teachers do not have much job-embedded time to process their role with other lead teachers. This session is specifically for them and is lead by their colleagues. The focus for September is on how we frame the use of the rubric as a tool to support teachers.
