Panther Post
October 2022
Tecumseh North Elementary
Today is a GREAT day to be a PANTHER, and I choose to LIVE ABOVE THE LINE!
A Message from Ms. Bivens
Just a few reminders as we begin the second quarter:
- Morning Routine--Please remind your students that if they are not eating breakfast, they need to go directly to the gym. If they are eating breakfast, they need to go directly to the cafeteria. They do not go to their classrooms prior to 8:35am.
- Afternoon Routine--The carline seems to be going smoother. If your student has a cell phone, please do not call or text your student that you are in the carline. We will call your student by their carline number and/or last name. Students should not have their cell phones out while in the school building. Also, please stay in your car and do not come up to the door. This ensure the safety for all students and staff.
- Organizational Tool--We are an AVID Elementary and we use an Organization Tool (OT for short) to help students, parents, and teachers communicate between home and school. Please be sure to check your student's OT every night and sign their reflection sheet or planner. Important notes are sent home in the OT as well.
- Breakfast/Lunch Balances--Please be sure to check your email and/or your student's OT for breakfast/lunch balances. We are seeing an increase in negative accounts. You can send a check or cash with your student or call the office to pay by debit/credit card.
- Halloween Parties--Notes will be going home soon, but please mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 1st. We will celebrate Halloween this day due to students not having school on Monday, October 31st.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or clarifications, please do not hesitate to reach out! I am here to help!
Proudly Serving as YOUR Principal!
-Katie Bivens

8 Keys of Excellence
OUR CORE VALUES The 8 Keys of Excellence lay the framework for a supportive, trusting environment where each person is valued and respected. The Keys provide a meaningful way to gain alignment and build a strong sense of community. | October Key- Failure Leads to Success Learn from mistakes- When we live the Key of Failure Leads to Success we see failures as feedback, we learn from them and make the changes needed to be more successful in the future. When we look at our mistakes with a view to learning from them, rather than sending ourselves negative messages, we are on the path to success. The only real failure is not learning from our mistakes. The key to success is to look carefully at what went wrong, change what we did the first time, and try again by applying what we learned. | September Award Winners Kindergarten through 6th grade winners for Septembers Key awards. |
