Coolest Reading Destination Challenge

Are you reading at the Prior Lake beach? Are you reading in a camping tent? On the top of a mountain, the Empire State Building, Dairy Queen, Near Jeffers Pond, or are you reading on your trampoline?

You don’t need to travel far to be creative because you can read ANYWHERE!

Send me your picture this summer of your Coolest Reading Destination!

Ask a parent permission to email Mrs. Tinguely at Add your name, grade, location and book title!

The top 4 coolest pictures will win either an iTunes gift card, Barnes & Noble gift card, or free books.

Pictures will be posted on the JP/GD media center website, Twitter, & in the media center!

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Contest

Read any 8 books and record them in the Reading Journal. Bring the completed Reading Journal to your local B&N store.

Half Price Books

Read 15 minutes a day for a month in June and July. (Grown-ups may read aloud to kids who are still learning. Use the reading log, add up your minutes, and have your parent or guardian initial each week.
