Tiger Family Newsletter 8/3/21

All the important deets to stay in the know!

Big picture

May It Be of Benefit

Hello Families,

Welcome to the 2021-22 School Year! The start of the school year brings with it the smell of new crayons, the excitement of a new lunch box or backpack, and the return of bedtime routines. That strange pull between letting go of the freedoms of summer and embracing the familiar rhythms of the school year never fails to thrill me. And, because of the disruption that Covid-19 brought to school over the past 2 school years, the year feels especially exciting to me.

As of the writing of this letter, our county and state departments of health have sanctioned our return to school in person, for a full day, with no physical distancing requirements. Our only restriction is that all persons (students and staff) will wear masks. With all of the things we lost out on at school over the past two years (full days, being in-person, sports, recess with friends from different classes) I am full of joy about what we can have and do this year! As a public institution, we are governed by guidelines of the CA Public Health Department.

In this 'welcome back' edition of our Tiger Family Newsletter, I have tried to include as many updates and answer as many questions as I could while being mindful not to overwhelm everyone. If there is something that I've failed to address, feel free to call out office at 224-4180, 7am-4:00 M-F. We are happy to help.

Looking forward to seeing you on our first day of school, Monday, August 16th. This is a minimum day (K-3 7:50-12:47 and 4th-5th 7:40-12:48).

With gratitude,

Mrs. Gold
