- You will be needed from 8.40am - 8.55am.
- The students have been trained by the Police and will have a refresher at the end of February.
If you need more details please contact Fiona D'Souza - fionad@stbrigids.school.nz
Parent Netball Co-ordinator Desperately Needed
With the netball season upon us we must have a parent or parents volunteer for this important role:
It will be
Supported by a teacher from the school
Supported by last year’s parent co-ordinator (Liz Kemp) who is keen to share information.
We MUST have a parent co-ordinator/s if we wish our students to take part in the 2022 season.
Contact Lynne at lynne@stbrigid.school and she will forward Liz Kemp (previous netball co-ordinator) contact details if you require further information.
St Francis of Assisi Parish Property Review
During 2021 the St Francis of Assisi parish progressed a review of the parish properties in response to a request from Archbishop John in 2019 to all parishes. In that request he noted:
"You need to be prepared to be radical in your thinking and discernment.
The theme of parish amalgamation was “A Future Full of Hope”. This hope-filled future will only start to take shape when we honestly and courageously engage with and answer the many questions about our buildings."
The parish leadership team have drafted a response for Archbishop John with consideration of the consultation we had during 2021. This draft is available here on the parish website. Appendix 2 is also available on the website here.
While both St Brigid’s and St Benedict’s schools are part of our parish, the review does not include consideration of school properties.
We do encourage however that parents and caregivers consider the draft response to Archbishop John given that any changes may impact on the use of current Church buildings and the parish as a whole.
We welcome feedback from our community on this draft either by email to propreview@stfrancisohariu.nz or in writing which can be mailed to the parish office or left in boxes in our church foyers.
Your feedback is requested by Sunday 6 March.
Kindly
