Principal's Message

I can’t believe we are almost to the end of the school year. We still have a lot going on. Tonight is our reading festival. Please take time to stop by our school and look at all the displays our classrooms have made. The festival starts at 5 and ends at 6:30. Every student who attends will leave with a free book. Also make sure to stop by the gym to see Mr. Larimer, Mrs. Rank, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Shumate’s amazing performance of “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”. Their show times are at 5:15 and 6:00. It should be lots of fun. Hope to see you there.


We also have many field trips happening. Make sure to look for communication coming home from your child’s teacher with all of the details. Field day will be on June 10th. If you are interested in volunteering for this please contact our office. You will need to make sure you have a background check on file prior to that day. Our last day of school will be on June 14th. The next two weeks are packed and will most definitely go by in a flash.

Kindergarten Registration 2022-23

Registration will continue throughout the summer. Please register your 5 year old for kindergarten by visiting our school website. Remember that registration will not work on cell phones. Click on the "Registar" icon to enroll. Birth certificates, proof of immunizations and proof of residence are required. Your child must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2022. Once registered, you will receive additional information in August.

Returning Student Registration for 2022-23

Check the Stayton Elementary website and register you child for next year. You must re-enroll your student EVERY year. Teacher assignments will be posted during SES Open House at the end of August.

If your child has medication in the office, please make sure to stop by the office before June 17th to pick up. Any medication that is not collected by then will be discarded. Thanks.

Volunteer Background Applications for 2022-23

If you wish to volunteer at school, you must fill out a volunteer application EVERY YEAR. We will begin accepting applications for 2022-23 school year in August.
