OCE Curriculum Nights

Based on feedback from the parent survey, OCE is bringing a series of Family Academy curriculum night presentations to parents. Child care is provided at all workshops. Two 4th grade math workshops have been added in February.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming presentations at OCE:

  • February 12, 2019, 6:30-8:00 p.m. - 4th Grade Parent Math Workshop There's a Fine Line Between Fractions and Decimals. Child care provided and free math kits to take home. See this informational flyer for more details and sign up here.

  • February 20, 2019, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. – Building Socio-Emotional Skills in Your Elementary School Child. In this workshop parents will learn how to attend to the socio-emotional development of their child while also setting appropriate limits and following through on consequences.

  • February 28, 2019, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. - 4th Grade Parent Math Workshop There's a Fine Line Between Fractions and Decimals. Child care and free math kits to take home. See this informational flyer for more details and sign up here.

  • March 13, 2019 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. – Reading is Fundamental! (K-5) Reading is fundamental to function in today’s society and in developing a good self-image. One of the most effective approaches to help a child develop literacy skills is having a home environment that encourages reading in daily life. Parents will learn how to support the development of their child’s literacy at home.

Track Change Forms

If you'd like to request a track change, please use the form found here and return it to the office by Friday, February 15th.

Spirit Wear

Did you miss your opportunity this fall to purchase spirit wear?

Due to popular demand, we have opened up sales for another round of t-shirt orders. T-shirts are $10 each. Get them while you can!

Also available this time are OCE tie-dye magnets! For just $5 you can show your support of OCE on your car or fridge with these fun magnets.

Orders due February 24th. Purchased items will be sent home with your student about two weeks later.

Front Office Needs: Clothing

Did you know that our front office will lend your child a pair of pants or a sweatshirt or whatever they might need after an art room or muddy playground accident at school? No one wants to spend the rest of the day sitting in muddy pants while trying to concentrate on parallelograms! YUCK!

The front office is requesting donations of any unwanted clothing to replenish their supply. Unfortunately, with all the wet weather we've been having, the muddy situation on the playgrounds has created more need. If you have a few items of unwanted clothing at home, please send them in to the front office.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
