This week we talked about builders, architects and clients. We learned that part of an architect's job is to listen to their clients to hear what they desire in their house or building. We read a book entitled "The Big Orange Splot" which is about a man who creates a zany dream house. This got the children thinking about their dream houses. They sat with a big sheet of bright white paper and a buffet of art supplies and were delighted to be given an opportunity to create their own dream houses. (See picture below)
Conversation Starters

Poem of the Week
Wake Up
In the country
Everyone knows
It's morning when
The rooster crows
But the city's
A different matter!
You're sure to hear
Garbage cans clatter,
Taxis toot,
Buses roar
A paper slap
Against your door
In country or city
Morning
sounds say ....
Wake up! Here comes
Another day!
