Garbage Island
Mrs. Wendt’s 7th Grade Science has been online learning about ocean currents and the science behind why trash has been collecting in pockets of the ocean known as the “garbage island." In collaboration with National Earth Day and teaching the students about pollution, Mrs. Wendt challenged her students to go outside in their neighborhoods to pick up litter for 15 minutes to prevent that garbage from entering our rivers, lakes, streams, and ultimately the oceans. Great job to the students that participated in the activity! Thank you for doing your part to help take care of our Earth!

Were you planning on running track?
As the weather begins to warm and there are few and far between sporting events to watch on TV, we will encourage you to get outside and enjoy nature. If you were planning on running track at Carleton, we have developed a website with specific workouts and track and field techniques to understand and practice. This could be a great springboard for high school athletics, or maybe just to stay in shape for when sports resume at the middle school level. Check out some of the videos and event specific activities at the page listed below.
Yearbook Update
Don’t forget! These days, it’s important you get the most value for every dollar you spend. When you buy your student a yearbook, you are buying a product that will be treasured today and for years to come.
This invaluable keepsake of the 2019-20 yearbook is $35.00! There is a special Covid 19 section to memorialize this time in history.
