Tisch's Tidbits
Field Trip
Just a friendly reminder to return the orange permission slip for the middle school this week. Thank you to those who have already sent your in. While at the middle school, we will be meeting the counselors, touring the middle school, learning about next year and practicing opening up lockers. The field trip is free and this is one we won't need parent chaperones. We will eat lunch as usual, so no need for a sack lunch.
Bus Driver Appreciation
This week is bus driver appreciation week! We are asking every student to write a letter or draw a picture to your bus driver to show how much you appreciate them! We are encouraging you write a letter or draw a picture to your bus driver thanking him or her for taking you to and from school safely. Please write a note or draw a picture at home and hand it to your bus driver this Friday morning when you get on the bus!
Here is an example of some things to say in your letter:
Dear ,
Thank you so much for taking me to school and bringing me home safely. I appreciate you getting up early in the mornings to pick us up and for making sure we get to school every morning! Thank you for taking time out of your day to drive us to and from school!
We hope that example helped you understand how to write a friendly letter. Please remember to write a letter or draw a picture to give to your bus driver on FRIDAY to show our school's support!
Thank you,
Your Union Student Council members!

Kroger Gives Back!
Now that Kroger is rocking our worlds with their new stores and low prices, they’re also going to help our school!
If you haven’t gotten a Kroger Plus card yet, sign up for one and then add Union Elementary to your Community Rewards organization name.
If you already have a Kroger card simply hop on your computer and follow these easy steps…
1.) Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
2.) Click on “Kroger Community Rewards”
3.) Click on “View your rewards details”
4.) Scroll to “Community Rewards” and click “Edit”
5.) Type in 31364 and hit “search”
6.)Click on Union Elementary, and hit “Enroll”
Let Grandma and Grandpa know how easy that was, and get them signed up too. Now Kroger will give Union a percentage of what you spend which helps in many ways. This small action helps buy school supplies, instruments for music class, and much more. Thanks for your support. If you have any questions or need help please contact Brittany Henney at Brittanykay1@gmail.com
2nd Semester Volunteers
The second semester is here! If you are interested in helping me prepare some things for the classroom or possibly work with a small group, I would love to have your help! I am flexible with times, so just let me know the time you will come. I have a break from 8:30-9:00 each day so this is an easy time for me to show you what to do. My lunch varies on the other days between 12:00-1:00. Thank you in advance for all of your help!
