Ernie Pyle Fall "5 Days of STEAM - STEAM Week"

Ernie Pyle will be having our Fall STEAM Week - 5 days of STEAM after-school classes.


The elementary "5 days of STEAM" or "STEAM Week" will be held on-site from 2:50-4:50 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm on Wednesday. Each Grade will be taught on specific days so please take note of the days and times for your child's grade. Students will be brought to the front gate at the conclusion of the class. Late pick-ups are not permitted.


The link to register will be available on the home page of ErniePyleElementary.org after school on October 11 and classes will be filled on a first come first served basis. Registration will close on October 21. Classes will begin in November on specified days for each grade level.

Vision to Learn is Coming to Ernie Pyle on Tuesday October 11, 2022.

Ernie Pyle students will have the special opportunity to be a part of the Vision to Learn Program. Vision To Learn mobile units will come out to our school to prescreen students and follow up with an examination for all of the students that failed the prescreening. If you do not want to have your student participate and have the opportunity to receive free glasses if they qualify please complete the "opt-out" form. Students who are shown to need glasses would pick out their frames and glasses would be ordered. All students will participate unless we receive the opt-out form that was sent home or contact the office for another one.

Ernie Pyle Recognized for PBIS

CA…California PBIS Coalition has recognized Ernie Pyle Elementary School of the

Bellflower Unified School District for successful implementation of its principles at the gold

level. At the board meeting on October 6, the BUSD Board of education recognized Ernie Pyle for receiving recognition at the Gold level.


Thank you, teachers, families, and students for all of the work you have done to help our campus be a PAWSitive place to learn. Teachers and counselors are conducting restorative circles, students are working to be proactive and think about the outcomes of their interactions. By thinking before we act we are better able to make wise choices every day and keep everyone safe because of the PAWSitive choices we are making. Keep up the great work. We are PAWSitive Panthers, our choices determine our success!

Meet Day Custodian - Mr. Bong

Mr. Bong can be found around campus sweeping leaves, organizing the lost and found, cleaning bathrooms, or getting the cafeteria ready for an assembly. We are so grateful for all of the work he does on campus to keep it clean and orderly. If you are on campus and see him around please do not hesitate to say hello to this friendly member of the custodial team at Ernie Pyle.
