1. Babylon, Hittites, Assyrians, and Chaldeans made Mesopotamia there home a long time ago.

2. The requirements of a civilization are urban revolution, new political and military structures, social structure based in economic power, the development of complex technology, development of writing, distinct religious structure, and new forms of artistic and cultural activity.

3. The importance of Hammurabi laws are that it didn't matter if you were poor or rich if you were found guilty you'd be punished. Since the laws were written down everyone was expected to obey them.

4. the five Hammurabi laws I find interesting are: if a man is not able to replace the corn then he and his possessions shall be divided among the farmers whose corn he has flooded, If a man is a freed person he shall give her one-third of a Mina of gold, if a slave say to his master "you are not my master" if they convict him his master shall cut off his ear, if anyone strike the body of a higher man in rank than him he shall receive sixty blows with an ox-whip in public, if the patient be a freed man he shall receive five shekels.

5. Gilgamesh was ancient king of Uruk. He was the first superhero said to be! He was part god part human an he had special powers. King Gilgamesh sat alone in his garden. He knew he was strong enough to pick up mountains. He thought about all the things he could do. Gilgamesh went to the ziggurat to join his people in prayer. Gilgamesh prayed for something to do fun. the gods got his prayer and created a stronger person than Gilgamesh and named him Enkidu. Gilgamesh went into town to fight Enkidu. After fighting Gilgamesh and Enkidu became friends. The whole town had a big celebration.
