Library Volunteers
Hello Roadrunner Parents! I hope that your children have had a great start to the new school year! I am going paperless with my request for volunteers this year! I am sending a link to a form for you to fill out online. I would love to have 2-3 volunteers each day to help put books away, check out, check in, etc. Timing is flexible. If you would like to help out in our library this year, please click on the link below. (You may need to push ctrl+click to activate the link.)
Read Books from our eLibrary at home!!!
Please see the directions below on how to access our eBooks collection.
There are a few different ways to get to our eLibrary; choose one of the following. Whichever way you decide to use, you will be asked to type in a username and password. Students will use the same login information that they use in the computer lab at school. Their username is the first 5 letters of last name, first 3 letters of first name, 3 digit number (This can be found in Skyward if your student doesn’t remember.) Their password is hse, their 6 digit birthdate. For example: Kristin Hicks would be…
Username: hickskri000
Password: hse110415
* Go directly to the site. The address is: http://wbb14202.follettshelf.com
* Our eLibrary can be accessed through our online catalog. The address is: http://destiny.hse.k12.in.us Choose Cumberland Road Elementary School. On the left side, click on the tab that says FollettShelf.
* Our eBooks can also be read on iPads and Android tablets. You will need to download the Follett Digital Reader app. (It is FREE!) The first time you logon, you will need to put in our Follett Shelf address, which is wbb14202 (listed above).
If you would like some tips on using the eLibrary or help checking out, you can read the Follett Quick Reference Guide. It is listed as one of the books available. Some of the books in our library have unlimited simultaneous access; this means that these titles are always available. You will know which titles these are because they have a green tag at the top with an infinity symbol on it.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at khicks@hse.k12.in.us
Grillin’ and Chillin’
Join us TONIGHT for an evening full of food and fun! Grillin’ and Chillin’ is a free, community event that runs from 5:30-7:00 pm tonight, Friday, September 25th. An RSVP form for this event went home with your child last week. However, even if you didn’t get a chance to return the RSVP form, you are more than welcome to come. We would love to see all of our CRES Roadrunners and their family and friends at this wonderful event! We hope to see you there tonight!
Roadrunner Rally
Pledges for the Roadrunner Rally are starting to come in! Thank you to those families that have started to collect donations from family, friends, and neighbors. We are on our way to reaching our $12,000 goal for this fundraiser, but we need continued donations to make this goal possible! The deadline for donations is September 29th. Donations can be collected through pledge sheets that were sent home with your child or online at http://www.hse.k12.in.us/CRE/pto/ . We are looking forward to a wonderful Roadrunner Rally on October 1st! Go rally those pledges, Roadrunners!
Just a Reminder…

He is seeking input about his observations and would like to hear from the CRES community. It would be amazing to have a room full of people at this meeting to show how dedicated and involved our CRES community is! Please come join us!

Fishers Cubs Volleyball Club
Philosophy
Fishers Cubs Volleyball Club is built on the development of student athletes. The Cubs main emphasis will be to provide a learning atmosphere for girls to develop and improve their volleyball skill sets; that will be important for the long term benefit of the athletes. Positive intensity is the coaching staff’s theme for each practice and tournament. Coaches attempt to give athletes all of the instruction and motivation needed to cultivate a learning environment, the rest is up the athlete to take advantage of the opportunity placed in front of them.
